How the Langmitra apps use Google Sign-In, exactly what data we request, and what we do — and never do — with it.
Langmitra is a language-learning platform operated by FirstPrincipal AI Pvt. Ltd. It is available as this website (langmitra.com) and as mobile apps for Android and iOS, including the Langmitra app and our single-language apps such as “मराठी शिका — Learn Marathi”.
Our apps teach languages through podcast-style audio lessons, conversational courses taught in your native language, vocabulary practice with spaced repetition, speaking practice with AI pronunciation feedback, certification mock tests, and personal progress tracking with streaks and points.
Our website and apps offer Google Sign-In as an optional way to create an account and log in. If you choose it, we request only Google’s basic sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile), which share the following information from your Google account:
We use this information solely to create, secure, and personalize your Langmitra account. Signing in with Google is never required — you can also register with a phone number or email address.
Langmitra’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your name, email address, and profile picture are stored only as part of your Langmitra account. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account removes the profile information we received from Google.
